I went hunting for arrowheads today. I didn't find any, but I found lots and lots of pottery shards. Most were plain but these two had painted patterns visible.

I found them in the hills near Mammoth, Arizona. I know you can't see all that much of the pattern, but does anyone have a guess as to what culture/time period these are from?

Thanks.

I now believe these are Hohokam. I may be able to verify this, and will update you when/if I do.

No. :'( That's what I'm really hoping to find. A friend has a nice collection of arrowheads, a few of which were found on the same hill where I found these shards.

I'm going out again today. I'm not coming home without an arrowhead.
