Hi to all..just joined today....we have some property on a creek in Virginia...I love walking the creek and searching for "treasure"..came across these in a short period of time and they really stood out from the "regular" rocks...they seem too precise in shape to be just rocks...the "hatchet" head is one of the neatest things I found..I can't believe water and time shaped these...any advice or direction would be great...look forward to reading about everyone else's hunts and finds..happy hunting to all!!..MB

Welcome, hmm some look like interesting possibilities. Water some times with erosion erases the tell tale signs of human manufacture conchoidal fracture, especially in a strong stream, river, or ocean setting. Similar to a rock tumbler. Native Americans would also let mother nature do some pre work and they would seek out stones that appeared to look like something they can use and then further shape them. So here are my thoughts on some; the last one could possibly have been used as a billet, a tool to chip the points; in the second to last picture the top has an appearance of a point that has been water worn, and the bottom has appearance of a drill. Keep looking where there is water there has been life. You will always find more whatsits or maybes, but when you find a true artifact you will know. Good Luck. Thanks for posting.
