I would say just a rock with interesting erosion, but I am not a rock expert by anymeans.

Rock. Doesn't appear to be worked. But then, my wife scoffs at all the scrapers I find and says they are just rocks. I do have standards for what is a flake, core, or tool. I have to listen to her--she finds more arrowheads than I do. I am too busy waving my MD in front of me. I figure it gives me a 3 ft. advantage over a rattlesnake.

looks like a tool to me though need better pics and all angles. It has a defined form and I see where there are chipped areas, probably stone pecked also and possible ground but cannot tell from the pic. thanks

I dont see where it resembles an artifact at all! I dont mean to take anything from your thoughts of what it can be, but it doesnt have any resemblence to anything native in just that one picture! Post a few more pics of it at different and closer angles in the Indian Artifact section of Tnet and see what they say!

theres rough layered edges, not worn enough for me

Definitely a sex rock...

I agree with Stefen, just a sex rock. ;D No sign of any flaking or chipping on it, just appears to be errosion.........

Normally, when you see a rock eroded in this manner, it would be smooth and have rounded edges. I am not seeing that in your photos. Nor am I seeing a worked edge. Sedimentary erosion is typified by different densities in the stone and an evident marked strata. I am not seeing that either. I like the idea that it might be a net weight. Let us know what the NA Forum comes up with. Always eager to learn more. Nice find!
