:national gold week in Australia and i only found a bit of colour. lol

Hi everyone, it was national gold week in Australia and nuggets seem to be turning up everywhere.This same thing happens every year.Well its real hot here but i did go out to a spot at a Place called the Red Jacket Reef and took a few samples of clay from the the old alluvial gold digging.The area has been md ed for over 30 years and i believe there's only colour and the odd gram size piece of gold left in this area.Most of the best known grounds are the same in the area where i live.There was no water in the area so i took the samples home and panned in the backyard.Used recycled water from the washing machine. .Here's a pic of of the smallest nugget is in world. .theres a few pics of the find and area.

seriuosly tinpan, cool find....ive not found any gold here in kentucky( besides a few rings )...how many of those would it take to make an ounce
