It's kind of a pea soup green color with reddish/rust colored veins. I cut one side (the pic with rock partially obscuring the quarter) on a tile saw and polished that side only. It's approximately 6in wide, 2in tall, and about 3/4in deep. I found it in the Palm Springs area. The black veins are very shallow cracks. In it's pre-tile saw state the luster was quite dull, no little shiny sparklies or anything. I tried finding pics online but none of them matched the pea green color. I'm now in my 2nd day (consecutively!) of being an amateur geologist so based on all the articles I read and pics I looked at online I'm confident the rock is either serpentinite, dunite, jade, crusty seaweed, or something else completely. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.IMAG0248.jpgIMAG0247.jpg
These are pics I took outside hoping the natural light makes it easier to identify
