Does anyone have the names of any American ships lost in Cuban waters from early 1900's and before? Trying to put together a list showing that American ships wrecked on just about every Caribbean countries shores to help a friend in school. There is plenty of info on Spanish ships in Cuba's waters but we can't find a single American ship's name. I know before the Bay of Pigs there was a lot of traffic from the gulf and east coast to Havana so there must have been losses, I just can't find any names. I don't need specifics and I can't work there anyways, just want a name or two if anyone has stumbled accross any in your research.

Thanks

Thanks Rob! How about I email you instead, with the signed releases you are waiting on. :-)

I don't know if you should count the USS Maine. She was refloated after she sank in Havana Harbor. Then towed about 4 miles out between Cuba and Florida and scuttled.
