Great finds. Could someone tell us if that button is likely gold plated?

Excellent finds!! WTG!!

Great finds Sub, but I don't think the buttons date to the Rev war. The style is later. Could there have been any fighting there during the war of 1812. There is nothing like either of the button in Don Troiani's Military buttons of the american revolution. The one with the crown and lion, certainly looks british. I believe the lion would possible indicate London. But the style sure looks later than the Rev. war. They are certainly great finds. You may also want to research canada buttons. I do not have any books on those. Good luck, and let us know what you find out. Congrats...Lance

Those are some great finds :o

The button does look like a later style button but i dont recognize the design ???

The button could also be French during either war of 1812 or Revolutionary I believe. Nice Finds anyway Submerged. HH

Finding that era of stuff is very exciting. It's like holding something the very first settlers of this country lost. Alot of fun finding coins and artifacts that old.
