They sure were using a lot of unifacial "Banana" scrapers, wonder what the most use was for...?
Most tools like this I have found in rivers. These were all dug. I know they are found in different time periods but
these were most likely in the Bolen range.

:happy1: What a show of unifaced tools. Wow! You have a nice collection. Some people look and go after just that one style cause the age could be very ancient. Not always but if they are deep good chance you are looking at thousands of year old stuff. Nice Tomclark! Thanks.

Cool Tom! I like the unifacial tools. I find those same type here in Ga, as in the shape but mine are quartz. Very nice examples

yea those are cool.they look pretty big,too..you think they could of been turned into points ?

:icon_thumleft: Those unifaces are really cool, is it okay to share a few?

Hale Yeah, show yer unifacials!! One of my favorite tools, rarer than points, IMHOP, especially when finely made and intact/whole!

Ok here are some from around here except the brown one which was gifted to me by Uniface.

I managed to get 1 pic before the camera died. I found these about 2 weeks ago. All quartz unifacial tools. Hard to see but each one is .75" thick and then is beveled down to an edge.

Tom, it's funny that you posted this today. I hunted the field by my house today and it is full of uniface pieces really similar to what you have. So full of them that if any one would like a few of them for study implements, PM me. I only pick them up if something looks special or cool about them. Most of mine are quick made scrapers and dirt working tools. They are made out of quartzite for the most part. I hope you don't mind my posting a few here. To start a new thread for these would be worthless. These I picked up today. I also found a couple of nice points and a couple of flaked hoes or spades. Here are the uni pieces.

The ones you have are rarer than points. If these are that rare, then the secret garden is beside my house.

hi tom didnt know that,i have one that is well made but small i can show ya if its ok,well maybe more than one ill have to dig them out tomm.its way past my bedtime,if it ok

jamey Tom said it was ok to post.

Okay, here a few that were outside under the snow in my collecting pile.

I am thinking that this piece is paleo due to it's worn surface and smoothness. It was either used quite extensively or has been expose to the weather for eons. It was found in a very arid location where the terrain is bare and rocky.
