Hi guys just looking for some info. N.F. String boxes usually have a circular stamp with the name and location of the company (nf string Pennsylvania etc.) ....and.... in the middle there is, hand-stamped, a random 4-digit number. Sometimes it's 5442, 5287, 5948...etc, etc. The question is: what does this number mean? Could it be the sort facility number? Delivery truck number? Bank's account with supplier number? Or maybe just a random number generated by a computer to track that box if there are any issues with it per the bank?........Anybody have any idea? ???

String only manufactures the wrappers.
Coin Wrap Inc. (CWI), a contract distributor/coin packager, uses these and the numbers don't mean anything.
Dates are also random. Some dates may even be from the future.
Don't waste your time trying to decode any of that nonsense.
