N. East warm today!!!!

Just flew home from Houston to a very warm NY and most all the snow is melted. Anyone else getting out to detect today in the N.East? Got three Wisconsin quarters in my change without realizing it and almost spent them at the airport before the person taking the money said "new quarters, neat" and I asked for them back and sure enough all three were Wisconsin, but they all look exactly the same on the back, so no luck this time.

yes northeast is warm today. i live in CT. and its supposed to break 50 today. woohoooo! winter blues are almost over.

...and then it snowed! It was great here yesterday but snowed about 3 inches up in northern Ohio in the night! Dang, was hoping the ground would be thawed out for this weekend...

I'm in NW PA.? Yesterday was great.? The second time I used my detector.? Found some change in my yard.? Half the yard was thawed....half was frozen.?

Then there's today....Blizzard this morning.

I went cache hunting today. I found an old busted up budweiser can and a modern bullet. 3" of frost is hard to chop through. Jason

yeah i went to an old foundation yesterday . no coins just 2 old buckles. the good news is the soil around the foundation was loose under the leaves. suppose the ground is still hard around grassy areas though.can't wait to hit a spot where an old house was torn down. found some wheaties an a ww2 metal there in december but the ground was hard in lots of spots.

Hi,
It was about 52 yesterday and I got all excited because it was obvious the ground was thawing. I was imagining a couple more days and I can go MDing. No such luck! Today was about 38 and this afternoon freezing. So much for thinking. What can I expect living in Vermont.
