From what i've seen so far, this stuff is from Florida. i suppose there may be other sources, but i don't have a problem with mine traveling that far in finished form or just the material traveling that far.
 

Interesting. I have found items that traveled along the water ways and seemed to have fossil inclusions I assumed were from Fla. Very cool!

Never seen an arrowhead made from a material like that. You'd think it would be of different hardness from one area to another and would be difficult to knap. The two outside pictures say otherwise. I guess you can't argue with success.

That sure is quite a distance for that material to travel that far north. Thanks for sharing that, that is really neat. :icon_thumleft:
 

I am pretty sure it's conglomerate. Can be made up of baybottom pieces... Baybottom chert is usually fossiliferous.
