Hi All, I'm new to this forum. Looking for some input on identifying this egg like multi layered rock that I found in a glacial outwash/ esker deposit in northwestern ontario near the headwaters of a main watershed that drains to Lake Superior. The inner brown colour material breaks apart very easily leaving behind a black, brown and green coloured hard mineral that leaves a very slight greasy residue on your fingers. This mineral is cubic in shape with one dominant and noticeable flat side. Any suggestions on what this may be?
