mystery red crystal help identify please.

It looks like a Pyrite cube with a bit of patina on it. It could also be pseudomorph of Limonite after Pyrite, due to the darker color.

Could it be the "All Spark" lost to the Autobots (Transformers) for thousands of years? Did you find it in Nevada?:dontknow::tongue3:

I dont know of any non destructive testing that can be done.
If you have any HCl or Muriatic acid you can drop some on and it should fizz.
If you scrape off some as a streak test it should be Greenish-black to brownish-black.
There are most likely more 'cubes' in the matrix.
It probably wouldn't hurt to take another photo or two.
