Hi Folks - I'm what many would call a newbie. Been MD'ing for the past month, although I had a cheap lil detector when I was a kid. Over the past few weeks I've been working my postage stamp of a yard very hard ... getting familiar with good signals and bad. My first day I was quite lucky and found a 1945 walking liberty half dollar - that pretty much sold me on this hobby for good. I ran around the yard doing some sort of dance which made my fiance think twice about the upcoming wedding.
Anyway, the other day I dug up this pendant. It could be nothing at all, but perhaps one of you folks might have further information/insight about this piece.

Thanks!

Dan - Los Angeles

The medallion almost looks like looking down a gunsight. But if it was related to shooting it would proably have some inscription on it so I am stumped. Monty

The USACE logo is different. It's red and has a castle looking structure on it, but I think you guys are on the right track maybe.
