Good evening Everyone
Short little hunt today and found what looks like maybe 25 ¢ token? But I just can’t convince myself. same thing both sides nothing else can be seen on either side . Thoughts ? Anyone maybe seen one similar ? I would expect something else on one of the sides other then 25 ¢ ? Thanks for any help

It’s pretty much the size of a modern quarter

May be a little too big for this, but it might be the center chit from a bi-metal trade token.

Thanks everyone defintley has 25 ¢ on both sides . Just seems odd that both sides have the same with nothing else on either side . Regardless happy to have it always a nice surprise when a token of some sort pops out

The bi-metal tokens had an outer ring that had all the pertinent information on it, while the center chit had the denomination.

similar to a coat check token, the hole is purpose made

Looks like a generic 25 cent trade token that was on some ones keychain for a long time and wore off the bottom half.
Maybe a bit more light cleaning on it might show some detail to the bottom half.

Does it have a cent mark on it or just the # 25? Kinda looks like a key ring for a locker at first glance

I just posted this today and several on this site, as well as others, confirmed it’s a tool tag. Was used to check out tools a worker might be using so it would be properly returned.

This could also be a miners ID tag. I know that they had these as a form of signing in. I guess you could say it was a punch clock of sorts.
