Hi all. Long shot, I know, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what this item is? It is going to be offered for sale at an auction in a few days, but I don't want to make the lengthy drive if it is nothing of value. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thank you Tnmountains. I think you are spot on. I searched 'scroll case' and 'scroll holder' on eBay and found many similiar items. I will mark this thread as solved when I can get to my desktop computer. Thanks again.
