I have been unable to find anything about this. My best guess is it is a coin given to Soldiers to use on post. I found it on a military base (Fort Jackson, S.C.). It has "Co M 6TH INFY" with a small cross of some kind stamped on one side and "10(cent sign)" on the other side. It is solid copper and as you can see was punched in a diamond shape. It is approximately one square inch in size. Any help with identification and a value for it would be appreciated. Thank you all.

Agree. Sutler token. Could be very valuable.

What state did you find it in? Location helps greatly on research.

Well the company stamp on the 2 tokens seem to match. The fact that they were both found in SC links them as well. Just need to confirm a company for it and find out the rarity and a value.

Hey, cool to see that one. I'm the guy who found the 5c one in that other thread.

Both South Carolina. That's interesting. Mine was found in Ridge Spring, SC.

Yours is the only other one I've seen. So now we know there were at least two types and denominations.
