Went out yesterday and found a few things,
US. Large cent,
US. 3 cent piece (Oooo, silver!)
and a mystery coin.

I can only see a few letters on this coin(?) but maybe someone out there knows what it is. I can only see these on one side and the other is pretty much toasted. All this was found in Downest Maine on a tidal river that had a lot of ship traffic back in the day, mostly in the 1800's, but going back as early as the 1600's. I do find a lot of Canadian coins here too and it could be from there? I've done a few searches but have come up empty handed. It's slightly larger than a penny and a little smaller than a nickel. Thanks for you help and thanks for looking.
