I don't find anything either, other than someone listed one once on eBay. No indication they knew anything about it.

Merf, try e-mailing these people
http://dekalb.ilgenweb.net/JoinerHistoryRoom/home_page.htm

It looks like a valuable site for local Sycamore information.
I found a Julia F. Kelly, Chiropractor, mentioned; apparently in 1979 they had found seven old Professional License Registers, which were started mid 1800' s. Her name was there, but you need to e-mail for 'further' info.

Not quite right - but the current County Historian is Phyllis Kelley :D

I took the bottle to the Joiner History room today and they are going to research it and , hopefully, uncover some info about the bottle. :icon_study:
They are stumped so far. :icon_scratch:

They could find no record of J A Kelly in any of their files at the Joiner history room.
The reason that there was no record is that back in those times , according to Ms. Kelley.
Sycamore had a substantial KKK presence and The Irish, Catholics, and other minorities were ignored and no records were kept of their activities.
Ms Kelley did research on area churches and found that even though St Mary's church was established in the 1800s it was not mentioned in a publication about Sycamore churches in the early 1900s. P.S. The bottom is plain with no markings of any kind.

Good try anyway  and you can be pretty sure now that it is an extremely rare bottle :icon_pirat:
