No idea on the round object :icon_scratch:
The coin is an italian 5 lire made of aluminum. Mintage: 436 400 000
Keep diggin

the ball if it has a sound and is made of copper might be a "baoding ball" * a sort of chinese hand exersize hall -- normalyl their in pairs --seems like you might have one --they can vary in size and in metal make up --some are soild others hollow --the hollow ones have items that tinkle in em.

the other thing iit could be is a "ben wa" ball --- (for ah hemm--- "adult" female useage)

I don't think either of these items are made of copper usually.

I have no idea what the copper ball is. :icon_scratch:

Tinkle in em?!?! I hope I never find anything that tinkles! ;D

It's also possible that you found a ball that was molded around a metallic sphere. The metallic sphere could have degraded a bit and is not fitting "tightly" inside anymore thus causing the rattling sounds...

I'd be tempted to open it up, but I would tell you NOT TO until you find out what it is...

Keep on digging the fun stuff,

Grip

That ball appears to have some markings on the side, similar to the markings on a crotal bell. Maybe that will give you a clue as to what it is.
