hi everybody, I am new to this forum. I just found this odd stone while gardening near the basement of my 1900 house - it has the shape of a bag :-)) looks old and kinda cool, carved anchor symbols but it's too small to be an anchor stone. Any clue what it may be? I would love to know it's history... tx :-)

Welcome! That is a unique find. I can't ID it, but someone will come along that can. HH!

I dunno. looks commercially made to me. looks like something you would tie a horse or a goat to.

Your sure it is stone? Almost looks like someone filled a tide detergent bottle with concrete and then cut the bottle away. Look at the handle area.

I agree with True metal, a lake I fished as a kid had concrete bottle anchors, I'm pretty sure they used clorox bottle's.

Just a guess but it may be a bouy anchor.

I never considered that, but I can try it myself....:-)) I'll go and buy some milk!
Yep, it looks like a stone and feels like a stone but it may be old cement! Thanks a lot!
