Hello everybody, I have a quick question that you might be able to help me with. Before I acquired my MXT and became a treasure hunter, I found this ring inside my house. While my home was built in 1940 the entire pad had new carpet in the rooms. In my bedroom, I found this mans “wedding ring?” which I first thought was the “One True Ring of Power” from Lord of the Rings (without the inscription, however, I have yet to throw it in the fire to test it). My girl said she didn’t know anything about it and I believe her. It was wedged under a phone jack and on top the carpet along the wall. I found it when I woke up one morning and happened to catch a glance at it from my bed. It polished up real nice, but I cannot determine what the ring is composed of. The only stamped writing on the inside says “J 25.” The J is much smaller then the 25. Any ideas what this hallmark means or what composition it could represent
. At first I thought it was silver, but on closer inspection, there seems to have a golden glint to it. Sorry, no pictures yet. Thanks in advance for any advice. J
