🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Mysterious magnetic rock

I found a magnetic rock that is black in color with different layers that almost look like granite. It has shiny layers underneath the magnetic shell. not sure what it is and don't remember exact location of where I found it.

I hate to say it because 99% are not but the look and decription of it seem like meteorite.

Looks to be part of the Ferrous Oxides mineral group. I'm going to say the obvious and most likely solution: Magnetite.
