Here's a good book about that area, easy read, picked up a few things. The author is a serious ring hunter.

Good luck, post some pics.

Rob thanks for the invite. But I will only be at the beach 10th thru the 14th I am staying at the Windom resort. would have been nice you could have showed me the ropes.

Catfish jim, I have never beach hunted, was hoping u could show me! I have been researching and reading. I have fun regardless of what I find, and wife and kids like to get away from me occasionally! Have a good vacation.

We stayed at the Wyndam last time in November. The sand beach was sanded in back then. The book mentioned above is a great resource for water hunting and the area, the author had a great month recently, finding lots of rings during May.

Oh, and there is a great pizza place across Ocean Blvd and a few blocks north of you :-)

I've hunted mb twice this year. It seems pretty picked over. Mostly recent drops. Lots of Shari's teeth!!!

M.B.is always picked over - but it's constantly being replenished also. I'm definitely not skilled as a beach hunter. But on my last visit I picked up a 10kt wedding band in my first 30 minutes - nothing else t speak of for the rest of the trip. But it's there for the hunter with the skill or as in my case - luck to be in the right spot at the right time. Don't forget sunscreen and sunglasses. GL & HHing!!

I'll be there in the Central section in late July early August. A week on the beach, with three days of golf and four of pure relaxation. Early mornings on beach with MD, don't even care if all I find is clad, just want to relax

I'll be down there in a couple of weeks also... I will be the nutjob in the water at all hours of the day and night....already told wifey bring lots of books... oh well she loves the beach and I don't need much sleep....
