I hope you all don't mind if I brag on my Whites Dealer. His name is Mr. Dan Cook. He has been MD'ing for 30 years. He was voted one of the top ten Whites dealers in the USA and beat Florida! He chatted with us a long time today and show us some of his stuff.

My eyes are still big as 50 cent pieces! Damn at the gold and silver he had!

Today I bought a coil cover, two bullseye sheath bags, 8" coin probe, then ask him what kind of deal would he give me on a Leschel digging tool. He knocked off 10 bucks! I got the sheath with it too. Then he gave me a Certificate of Authenticity for a Copper Roman Coin 238-415 A. D. signed by Kenneth White himself! That is my oldest coin to date...lol.....

My hats off to you Mr. Cook! You well deserve it!

One happy Pepper :)

Sounds like great customer service to me

Yep, and Yep. He is one swell guy. If you ever need a number PM me. ;)

Visiting a dealer is worth the time and knowledge you receive. Ya can't get that mail order.

We should have a forum where we can talk about the service we get from dealers. Maybe it's here somewhere and I haven't found it.

well your very lucky Pepper, and also for him to help ya with the field testing part..how cool is that... wish I had one near me.. the closest one is at a coin/collector place but the owners never there.. I heard hes a memeber here ..sure would love to hook up with him once to learn some tricks...I may just go over and see when hes in? but I am thrilled for ya... cant wait to see all your goodies...

The 2 closest Whites dealers to me have displays about 4 ft by 4 ft of wall space. One of them has only prizms the other has most of the models but only stocks 1 of each . I'm interested in a m6 matrix but really want to find a dealer that knows about it. How do you that have one like the M6?

I love my m6.. its easy to use... and with the 5.3 coil I love it... also have the dfx as well.. dont have that downpat all the way yet..but am working on it...

Sandman, good idea. It could really help out members looking for a face to face with a local dealer. Mr. Cook had just as much fun showing me his finds as I did looking at them. And when I find something I don't know about I can take it to him and he has seen so much in 30 years of detecting he can pretty much tell me what I want to know.

Wow, you are indeed fortunate. There are no MDing business in my city. I went to the Whites web site to locate a dealer near me,punched in my zip code and to my surprise got a name and number in a town right across the river from me. So, I called the number and to make the story short he was a 90 plus year old man and bed ridden.
Reason I told this, for many of us, a internet based business is our only store. And many of those guys are good to deal with as well.
My 2 cents,
John

Hi Gator, Yes I was\am fortunate. Sorry things didn't pan out for you. I have nothing against internet based business's. Your right there are some great guys that run them.

There are some of us who do not have the option of ordering off the net. So whatever works for us is a win win situation.
