Saturday I worked so I only managed 2 hours at the wooded park I have been hunting ! I found the cap gun , The small Murphy Brothers , Drug bottle Portland Maine. Two early Wheaties , 1909. 1910, and the costume jewelry necklace piece , No marks on this heavy cast piece . Today I checked out two new potential sites, Both were a bust with nothing but a little clad at each site so with 3 hours hunting time left I headed to the Large 1790's house with barn site I explored a couple of weekends ago and had found a couple early buckle pieces The first good target at this site was the badly corroded 1863 fatty. This got my attention and I bore down on this site and managed a few more good digs there , The childs toy police badge, a watch , The Early federal militia button and the 1819 Matron head large cent in poor condition The button appears to be an Albert's GI61, Eagle with shield, 16 stars . except my back mark is TREBLE GILT STANDd COLUOR not the RICH QUALITY LONDON backmark. Despite what the soil did to the Fattie and the Matron head the button made it out of the ground with a little gilt left on it ! :hello2: Thanks for looking ! MaineRelic

Looks like some good stuff. That's a neat button.
Congrats
Dman

Congrats on some very nice Finds, :icon_thumright: ! Just curious is the Murphy Brothers, drug bottle from Portland Maine a common bottle?

Thanks,
TommNJ

MR, the eagle on that lined background with the gold gilt will be an extremely nice addition to your collection-a first rate recovery. Other finds are nice but that eagle is SUPER!! HH, Quindy.

Congrats on a very productive hunt!!! :icon_thumright: :headbang:

Oh man I have been hoping to find a 1909 wheat and a 1909 Indian. That would make a great pair. How often do two coins of the same denomination get minted in the same year? You are half way there. WTG!! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks for your interest ! It is not a rare bottle , early 20th century . Not worth very much . Having the name and location on the bottle makes for a decent local history artifact. M.R.

Thanks Quindy ! Only my second early militia button in four years Detecting ! The other being A Massachucets militia button last year . I was pretty excited though I think my post reflected how tired I was !
