Went through my first MWR box of pennies today (since I can't afford silver boxes...yet lol) I only came up with 5 measley wheats, a planchet, lots of copper and one weird looking memorial cent. I searched around the internet and couldn't find anything about it since there is no date on it, but only a faint image of the obverse still visible and the reverse is still there. It's very smooth to the touch and I really don't know if this is either an error or if this cent got crushed somehow. Anyone seen something like this?

Can't help you with the worn coin. at the least I'd bounce test it to see if it's copper.

Frankly, I was hoping for pics of the planchet...

Sorry, here it is

I thought putting the planchet in the case was hilarious. I'd trade a few wheat pennies for one of those. I'll keep looking. Cool finds and hpefully your production picks up. Mine has been dwindling to around 6-7 wheats per box lately. They are a lot of fun to hunt though thanks to the fact that you can expect almost every box to have at least one prize.

Well I wasn't sure how rare or valuable something like that blank was, so no harm in using a cardboard holder on it :)

I'm not sure either, but those are cool finds!

just to be clear, i have no idea ho w valuable it is either. something about a blank piece of metal in a display looked funny to me though. i'd do the same thing if i had those type of holders.
