My Uncles Wedding Ring?

This morning I went back to my uncles house to get some more goodies before the house sold. I dug 2 pennies. Then my uncle drove up, I went over to him and started talking the parties the previous owner had in the 1900s. I asked him if he knew of anybody losing any jewelery, He told me that he had lost his wedding ring someware in the yard. He pointed me in the direction of the ring. After he left I headed over there. A couple of swings and BAM!! a gold in the hole I quickly cleaned the dirt out of the center of the ring. The ring has "SOLID GOLD" written on the inside, and no other markings This is my first gold ring I am going to call him tomorrow.

Don't ya just love the way it comes out of the ground all shiney like!!! That is a sweet ring, but is the "solid gold" it is marked in reference to 24k or 10k??...It says solid but not "pure"..........I am in NO WAY knocking..just an observation is all. It is a very sweet ring and I am sure your uncle will be extrememly happy to get it back.

It is awesome to see gold come up.. esp when you dig like I do.... cut the "C" on the top... then get digging tool as deep as can be and start pushing up the dirt.... Monday I found a gold wedding band about 8" down and it was my first"geiser" gold experience....... what a rush!

Wonderful! It is truly awesome that you were able to find it so quickly. My sister asked me to look for a ring her daughter lost at her house and I never did find it. Later her daughter told me her mom must have been dreaming as she never lost a ring there.
Oh well, I did find some clad while looking.

I haven't got ahold of him yet. I did get ahold of my aunt though. She told me that he was going to be at the old house around 4:00 this afternoon. She also told me the ring was Silver, not gold maby its not his. I will get back to you with the out come. HH!! Swingit....
