My Ugliest Silver Yet!!

12 January 2014 and I'm hunting in the fields...everything else is gravy! Only had a short time to hunt so went to the field I've been hunting for nearly 3 years and it's still producing. I hunted an area I had paid much attention to and found a few keepers. I wish the 1937 25 cent was a little older but it's silver so no complaints from me! The ugly silver appears to be a Victorian 10 cent but I haven't examined it yet to try to get a date. I do see a crown and a "10" but it could be early 1900s as well...I know one thing though... It sure is ugly!

We had a big rain storm and the temperature shot up to +15 Celsius last night...still warm today and all of the snow is gone!

Dime is George V...not as old as I hoped but it is what it is...

Great to see you were able to get out today, I had a ton of things to get done so I stuck around the house. Your right about the dime it's in bad shape but it's still silver and a silver quarter to boot, nothing wrong with that.
How deep is the frost in the fields?

Some parts of the field had no frost at all...other parts and the top 2 inches was soft and then frost down at least 8 inches....

Silver is silver... Well almost....
No really it is, I take all my ugly silvers and save them to one day melt my own bar..
Its better than "no" silver, great finds !!
