My sons did me yesterday

I took my two 10y.o. boys down to a site where young -uns like to party. All I dug out yesterday was parts to a firebox or the inside of a fridge or chest freezer and a large square s shaped connector that would hold beams together at the corner of a house (old house site, yes). Without a detector he stumbled upon a shovelhead sticking out of the snow. Not ancient, but It has seen better days. happy he found something he thought was cool. The snow is back today after a partial thaw yesterday. Lamenting the misplaced garret pointer pro. I think I should attach the pointer to me with a stretchy cord. Those thing are a bit pricey to lose. (Anyone got a Garrett pointer pro in working condition that they will sell or $100 or under)?

Need to put a handle on the old shovel, reshape it and sharpen it and put it back in use. I have a couple like that my wife uses in the garden.

Ya someone did put a stretch cord on their digger for that very reason.
