This is MY solution to cold weather!!
In June of 2002, I made this rock fire pit with the many on-hand rocks available to me...
It is big enough to cook a side of beef on... (haven't done that yet, though)
A big fire, a few beers, and the radio... it's all good!
Feels very good on the tired eyeballs after a long day... makes me sleepy!

Not as bad as forecasted... YET.
Right now... 36 F temps dropping fast. Time to snuggle up with the pets! LOL

That's some nice stonework, sure looks inviting. You must live in the northern part of south Texas.

RGINN, it's cold enough for "changos". Even though there is a ranch just a few mile from my place that raises snow monkeys, I am referring to long johns. Side note on the monkey ranch: Just a few months ago, my son told me there had been a bailout. He is a leo, and the bailouts are usually a load of illegals that abandon the vehicle, and head to the brush after a high speed chase. This group bailed out close to our place, made it to a high fence, and crossed it. Turns out that they ended up in the monkey pens. You can climb in, but even the monkeys can't get out. They ended up calling 911 for help.
