My SLQ's found while MD'ng ~ 1918d, 1919, 1920

I have only found 3 SLQ's while out metal detecting and here they are. All of them were found out in the woods tucked away where luckily no other hunter passed their coil over them. I found the 1918d last year on my 1st hunt after my surgery, my stomach was still killing me so I tried to dig as fast as possible and as you can see I caught it 3 different places.I wanted to cry once I saw the red book value but I would rather have a scratched coin than no coin at all. The 2nd one I found 1920 this year like a month ago, its a sharp coin but the only real uneven ware is just on the date, weird Then lastly I just found my 1919 the other day. Some real beauties there. The date was the first thing to go on those pre '25 SLQ's. I've never dug a dated pre '25 yet. What a crying shame on the scratches on that 18-D. Keep on digging those SLQ's and you'll have one of the nicest dug collections I've ever seen.

I was looking at your 1918D SLQ looking for what grade it might be an came up with xf-au50 then when I went to recheck the grades I seen the big slice on the bottom right... Dang that real hurt... it was a 135-200.00 coin

I just had my Gaul bladder removed a week earlier and I had stitches in 3 different spots. 1 on my belly button, 1 on my side just below my ribcage, then 1 on my side by like my kidney so it really hurt to bend down and dig and to make things worse the site was absolutely filled with roots and it started snowing. So I tried to dig it as fast as possible so I could stand up. Hahaha

LOL - It was a new site and I didn't want my buddies to clean the place out before I healed up!!!!

Bummer about the 18D; she was spectacular! I've found three myself but only one (17D, Type I) had a date. You're doing very well to find three earlies with dates.
