I went out to some woods near near my home this evening and was super stoked at what I found.
My first merc triple play.

A pair of 1923 and a 1941.
The 1940 Jefferson was in with 1941.
Also found was what looks to be a Firestone ad pin or service pin.
It has Firestone Tires-Red Side Wall-Black Tread on it. Not sure of its usage. Salesman pin maybe.

1959 and 1965 memorials.
Winchester 12ga headstamp, 32 cal casing.
A toy dart with a plastic tip( got to wonder what that was doing in the woods)
A rusty butter knife and what looks to be a spatchula.

Guess what area I am going to be hitting hard?
I was literally getting eaten up by mosquitoes so had to leave early. Got to get the deep woods off on next time.

Nice finds. The Firestone thing appears to be a watch fob.

Awesome finds!! Gotta love those Mercs!

Three lovely ladies. Would have been very cool to get a War Nickel with the 41 but, still a great score. Cool Firestone fob thingy. Is that really how you spell s-p-a-t-c-h-u-l-a?:icon_scratch: Never seen one dug before. Looks like much potential. Yes, the skeeters in the woods are horrendous. Spell check corrected my misspelled horrendous TWICE! Adios mate.:hello:

Wow, super finds and Sweet Silver! :hello2:

Amazing digs! That 1923 in the middle is virtually mint and a heck of a coin! I love it when they come out like that.

triple sweet treat!

Very nice! Congrats on the silver, and the pin is pretty cool

Great score! That Fob is cool! Is there anythingon the back?

Thanks all for the positive replies.
There does not appear to be anything on the back. I need to soak it though because now that you mention it, I think I see initials or maybe just scratches.

Oh and that compact case, if you are wondering if it has rings or silver coins in it? NAH, I had a reveal and it was just full of dried blush powder. :censored:

Congrats on your 3 Mercs. I'm with the others, I think your Firestone item is a watch fob.

After soaking in Lemon Juice, more details emerged.

Whitehead Shores Newark NJ on the back
Most Miles Per Dollar on front which apparently was a motto for Firestone in the early 20s
