I raced back out to where I found my oldest silver one day ago and found another small silver. This time an 1829 half dime within 20 feet of where I found an 1816 half real one day ago. This will be my second oldest silver. I'm pretty stoked! I hope this place keeps producing. I wanted to lighten it up a little so people could see what it is. I'm not condoning cleaning coins but this what I did with mine. I saw a silver cleaning method in one of Beau Ouimette's videos. You place the coin on aluminum foil in boiling water and sprinkle baking soda on it and watch it fizz. Then I patted it gently "no rubbing" with warm soapy water on a soft sponge and put it to bed.
I posted before and after pics. I spent two hours researching professional cleaning for coins through NGC or PCGS and did't see one positive comment. Unless I missed something I'd love for someone to enlighten me. I also found a suspender clip and what I thought was a button. Unsure? Looks like a shield design and says victor. maybe modern. Good Hunting
