I went detecting in the woods at Quarry hill. Too bad that someone lost their keys.

Great find on the big Silver. Those are getting harder and harder to dig. Congrats!!

Well done on the great looking half. :occasion14:
Loosing a set of keys really sucks.

Congratulations on your beautiful silver recovery

Is it my eyes and the picture playing tricks on me ? The reverse almost looks as though the Eagle design is incuse. It also looks like there is a seam around the center of the coin and its 2 parts, as if it were a magicians coin. Hope I'm wrong, and not trying to be insulting, it just looks that way in the pic. The reason I say this, is because I found a Kennedy Half one time that looked the same way, and it was a 2 piece magicians coin. Nice find either way. Gotta love the Walking Libs.

It's not a magician's coin.
I had a quarter that was a magician's coin and it had heads on both sides.

There are some black spots still on it on both sides and I'm not sure what it is.
I think that's typically other metals from the ground that attach to the silver. Other than rubbing it with foil and lemon juice (electrolysis), I don't know of any non-damaging ways to remove it. Looks great anyways!

Very sweet Walker- Congrats!
