I like to tinker on old cars and since my GTO is 99% done (none are ever completely finished) I decided to find another project. I had to buy three to get the one I wanted but the two four door cars have some usable parts on them. I am going to do a Rat Rod job on the 1950 Pontiac two door fastback.

Looks like a fun project. I sure like older cars over this newer stuff!

Love it. I wish I had the skills and space to restore or trick-out a vintage car.

I have a 1956 Ford 640 tractor I use for brush-hogging and firewood hauling that is my taste of monkeying around with solid iron vehicles. I just did a FULL Marvel-Schlebler carburetor rebuild (a whole box of little unlabeled parts and springs) and by gum it started right up and no drips with the full range of RPM. I felt like the tallest dog on garbage day.

I KNOW THAT CAR! :laughing7:

Did it have an under-the-dash old 33 or 45 record player in it and come from a Worth cty farm? :icon_scratch: Looks just like one I used to know..... the tags are way too new though. :laughing7:
I almost thought I recognized that pole barn there for a minute, too, lol.

Cool fyrffytr1! My uncle up in Dawson used to do the old Model A's and T's.
He would do the car show circuits with them.

Sweet! I'm a gear head too. That's where the "Pony" comes from (2- '66 Mustangs). I haven't worked on them in about 4 months now. Funny, I started detecting about then. Could there be a connection there?! :icon_scratch: LOL

Seems like a nice project! :occasion14:

In 1980, I restored a 1926 Model T Ford 2-door coupe. Sure miss that car :love10:; all the hours I spent in the ground-up restoration.

This car came to Albany from Leary several years ago. Then, the buyer moved to Leary and took it back with him.

Can I borrow it for a date? :laughing7:

Actually, I'd MUCH prefer to take my date (yes, my wife!) out in a 1936 American LaFrance!! :hello2: ...Just not during winter! :tongue3:

I guess a rat job will be better than having it rust apart in a field. Err... wait a minute....

I ever notifications for a site called "Abandoned and neglected vehicles and parts for sale" and instantly recognized your car from viewing it on that site several days ago, lol.
