I hunted the woods for 3 hours today. Only a couple of mosquitoes which was nice.
I found the Merc and about 10 feet away I got a faint signal and found this Half Dime about 6 inches down. Also found one wheatie.
Sure good to find some old silver. The HD looks like it was shot possibly.
My oldest coin to date. Too bad it is bent.
What rotten luck Eh. Best luck---Merf

Thanks dirtfisher. so many finds I was spoiled. Only me and a couple other guys hunting this part of northern Illinois Back then.

What a bummer its damaged. I hate finding good old ones that were once used as a target. 😒
