I found this in Philadelphia Pa. with Vino on our last hunt together, but I just managed to get a positive ID on the date. I hot peroxide bath the copper coins and use a toothpick. I had got to a point where I felt with all the copper/bronze coins I had found there, that I was not going to get any further with the hot peroxide. I put it in a mineral oil bath, checking it and toothpicking it every once in a couple days. I had got to a point when the other Indian Head (I found out it was a 1874) I could almost see the 6 and I got crazy and pulled out my tiny steel screwdriver and tried to scrape off the gunk. I scratched the coin a little. I hope I learned my lesson, I put it back in the oil. A little while ago I pulled it out and toothpicked the heck out of it. The wood does not hurt it, but does get the gunk off. Here are the pix, I hope you like them as much as I. I had to take about twenty pix to get these three that I think you can see what I'm easily able to see here at home. I found this date today, so in my eyes its today's find.

It drives me crazy (short drive) not to be able to put a date on my finds

HH everyone.
