My oldest coin yet

I dug this coin at a location that has never given up anything to old it was a carnival grounds in the 40s & 50s. The spot is close to the Susquehanna river and the area had activity in the late 1600s so other than that I cant figure out why this coin would have been there. Thanks again for the Id Bramblefind.

I will state the obivious - but this coin would have been lost in the mid-1700s :thumbsup:
 

Terrific find. Keep in mind the river does flood in that area from time to time and probably more so back then so the coin could have just ended up there. Either way, it is a tremendous find and just speaks to the time the colonists had settling the area.
