I am in New Hampshire visiting my brother and doing some detecting. I figure this is the oldest part of the country so I should be able to find some old stuff. Well this morning I found the oldest coin I have ever found, a 1822 Large Cent. Coming from Kansas we never find these so this is a great find for me. Sorry the pictures don't show it very well but if you look at the bottom of the first picture you can see the date. Thanks for looking!

Don

Good find.
I got one today, too. Though not as old as yours.

Jade, I am in Weare, NH. Tomorrow we are going to the Ocean to do some beach hunting. On Monday I plan on knocking on doors all day long and asking permission to hunt. There are a lot of old houses here.

beautifull find ! congrats, i am still waiting t find my old penny ;)

Here is a picture of the property where I found the Large Cent. The marker says this is the site of the first church in Weare, NY 1763. I found the coin just above the marker on the left side underneath the tree in the middle of the picture.
