Hunted an old park by my house a few weeks back, My fisher was being repaired so I grabbed my old Discovery 1000. I have hunted this park many times, and was clearing out trash by an area I think should have some good deep coins. I was totally surprised when this popped out! it was about 4 inches deep, in the grass. I thought coins just keep sinking unless something stops it? This area has about 12 inches+ topsoil and about 40 yards from a small river. I was thinking that the old stuff should be pretty much out of reach. I had to scratch my head and wonder!

Nothing like a good ground freeze to push things back up.After each winter I recheck all my hot spots again with good success.Nice find wtg

Thanks guys,

I wish it was not so corroded, but I'm still happy, and thankful I didn't scratch it while digging. I wasn't being careful!
