All Treasure Hunting
I just wanted to share a story of how my week went. We have a festival here in Stonewall called the Bee Gum Festival that celebrates the community that eventually became Stonewall (named after Stonewall Jackson.) Every year they do a treasure hunt and post the clues on facebook every day. About 2 months ago, I became interested in metal detecting and so began my research of our town's history. Knowing this, the second day clue was about "buildings that no longer stand" and "you drive by it everyday". I texted my wife and told her I felt like I knew where it was and so I stopped by there on the way home after work. Sure enough, in less than a minute's worth of searching, I found the Joker playing card with "YOU WON" written on it taped to the very bottom of a 35 mph sign. $1000 cash! I texted a picture of the card to my wife and told her that I found my new Garrett AT Pro. She was quick to respond, "You remember that epidural I didn't have?" So we split the money. I got home, went straight to a metal detecting classifieds web page and lo and behold, there it was. Garrett AT Pro used but in mint condition with head phones, stock and 5x8 coils plus covers, $500. I received it two days ago and it looks brand new. I've been playing around in the yard with it a little and absolutely love it! I've put about an hour on it and have found a ton of foil, coke cans and pieces, several bullets and bullet casings, a railroad spike and railroad spike maul. I'll post pics of the maul later. It was a very blessed week. God bless! Here's pics of me receiving the 10 bills.
