I've been working on this ring off and on for almost 2 years now. I finished it a couple months ago. The center section was carved from a thick slice of Gibeon iron with moissanite, rubies and sapphires bezel set throughout all in 14kt gold.

I purchased the moissanite through a Stuller Inc. They are one of my vendors. They are located in Lafayette, La. The triangle cut moissanite I bought about 6 years ago. Moissanite is lab created silicon carbide crystal. I haven't priced it recently but I think it is running somewhere around $700-800/ct retail for around a 1ct size. Prices more or less depending on ct. weight and cut. Natural Moissanite was originally discovered in a meteorite long several decades ago. It is pricey for s made made stone but I liked the original meteorite connection.

That's a beautiful ring! I hope it's never found metal detecting at any beach as that would be a sad loss. Beautiful work Stonecutter1!!!

Thank you all for your compliments, ha ha yeah I hope you don't find it metal detecting either. I don't wear that much actually.

Beautiful ring creation, thank you for sharing! :icon_thumleft:
