Glad you ordered from Bart. Your going to like the F2 as it will give you hours of fun and goodies.

Great machine and good talking to you! Enjoy it!

My f2 was delivered today. Out of the box and in the yard in an hour. My only complaint is my yard. There is too much trash for me to practice in the yard. I spent an hour out there and dug up a piece of copper pipe, a weeding tool, a pop/beer can and a grill grate. This was all with the discrimination turned up to ignore everything less than zinc. I am very happy with my purchase and glad I went with BigBoysHobbies.

Yes to learn any detector it's best to start out in cleaner ground if possible. Much harder to learn it in trashy ground with lots of signals!

I ran into an interesting issue today. I went out into an open field. Ran it in all metal and got a few signals. All really low iron. Issue was when I used the pin point function. I got 4 inch depth every where. I dug down 8 inches where I got the signal and found nothing. Any idea why I was getting 4 inch depth everywhere, even where there was no signal in all metal?

Well, I just fired up the machine again, dry fired it in the house and found a screw in the floor. It doesn't seem to be doing what it was doing yesterday in the field. So, I don't know what the deal was. I just hope it doesn't do it again, that was frustrating.

Probably a very big target DEEP! Raise the coil a foot or so above the ground and swing it. If your still getting a signal its something BIG!.

Yeah, getting the regular hits was sporadic and just above the ground like normal. It only did the 4 inch thing when I was in pinpoint mode and it was a large area, like crashed spaceship large. I am in a river basin, the water table is only about 10 feet down and pretty much everywhere. Could this be giving me issues? I hunted a different part of that same field the day before and didn't have any issues with the pin point mode.

I am out of commission for a few more days. The only thing I found on that Thursday was a huge case of poison ivy. When I get back out there, I will try to recreate the problem and then move to a known area and do the same thing.
