Detector(s) used
delta 4000 / ace 250 - used BH and many others too
well was showing a freind of mine "david" how to metal detect and hit a gold signal ---- knowing that david has never found silver muchless gold -- I called him over and tell him here dig this signal --- he takes the ace 250 locates the spot cuts a good sized plug & lays it to the side close by the hole --- then he waves the ace250 over the hole it rings up --- so its deeper down he thinks, so he dig's more --- I hand him the V4 pin pointer for him to check the hole nothing in the hole --- so he brings over the detector again checking yep still getting a signal ---so more digging --again nothing with the pin pointer -- finally about 12 in down --- he looks at me and says ok boss where is it ? --- I said did you check the plug you pulled? --- I pull the plug away form the hole and have him check the hole nada -- then the plug ---bingo !!! after breaking up the plug -- out it pops!! ---( lessons learned ? -- keep the plug away from the original hole and always check the plug first)--- it was my new ace 250 's first gold and david's too --- a child sized gold kiddie ring --(just will fit on the tip of my pinkie) its thin as can be too **** however it is marked 625 mexico -- so thats 14k (actually 625 would equal 15 k gold )---not much of it however , but hey you gotta take what comes --- I'm going to give it to david to use as a real gold "tuner- adjustment checker" piece --- Ivan

showing somebody how to detect is never more valuable then teaching them how, kudos go out to you

taint much gold but gold it is ;D --- I gave it to david "as his first gold" and as a "christmas present" to fine tune his machine with*** if your machines tuned to pick this up trust me your not passing up any "worth while" gold --- Ivan

Ivan,
Way to go! you give this hobby a good name.
Merry Christmas,

WTG Ivan....that 250 better than your Bounty hunters?

well as far as depth goes --the ace 250 is similar in depth to the quick draw II bounty hunter --- however I do like the visible "notch out" display on the 250 with the 5 modes set up ---esp the custom mode *** ---with the 250's display its "clear" to see whats notched in / or /out ---(although the disply itself could have been a bit larger for my old eyes to see better )--- on the bounty hunters side --the dual knob (power/sen) and (disc ) can be fine tuned a bit better to work at the beach or rougher areas but you lose everything under the disc level you set it for --- with the Ace 250 you can "notch" out a whole section but can have the sections below and above the notched section turned on still---- but often have to drop the sensitivity down to 2 bars to work wet sand on the beaches --- personally I like the Ace 250 very much --- looking forward to checking out an F2 soon

That's alright Ivan....you've hooked another one anyway, gold to boot!!!I was thinking on getting an Ace for back-up(wife),if I ever run into some problem's with it I know who to ask......Congrat's to you both.
