After Reading about BuckleBoy and the Iron Brigade on their multiple buckle day, I had to post this. I too recently had a multiple buckle day but they were not complete buckles. I did not know that I had found parts to a second buckle until I was cleaning up everything from that day and noticed the second buckle pieces. I honestly never thought I would ever find a complete buckle or plate but I did just that last September and last weekend, I added to it with two more.

Enjoy the pics and if anyone knows anything about silverware, then please see my other post on the "what's it worth?" board as I have no clue at all.

Thanks, and HH!!!!

So the one up top was September's find, and the fragments are from recently?

That is a wierd find. A great one! But odd. Wonder how in the world that happened. Is the area plowed?

The top one I found in Savannah, Georgia at a construction site back in September. The other two, were found in South Carolina and although the area is a cow pasture now, I do believe that maybe crops were planted at one time there. I tried and tried to find more pieces on the 1/4 piece but maybe those were already found. What I would like to say is all three were found using my super 12" coil with my MXT.

Well cheers on your plates, buddy! You've turned in to one Heck of a CW hunter. Congratulations.

That is a really nice US buckle and in very good shape! Too bad the other one is in pieces, who knows, one day you may find the rest of it  .

Nice plates,

I'd like to find one of those at some point. I know there still here in P.a

Great pics and great hunt!

One must wonder the fate of the soldier on the other side of the "in pieces" buckle.
War's brutal.

Thats what I was thinking. For that matter any buckle left on the ground is probably a sad story to some soldier.
