I was detecting a house & barn that was last occupied in the 1940's. I was scanning the walls of the barn & got a good single. After removing some loose stone's I saw a metal box wrap in a plastic bag. My first thought was that it could be a box of coins put in the wall by someone that lived there. The box was locked so I pried it open with my knife.

What I saw in the box was a Tibetan prayer wheel. The plastic bag it was wrapped in had a date of 03/07/23 on it so I know the box was placed in the wall recently. I decided to put the prayer wheel & box back where I found it in the wall.
Who knows maybe putting the Tibetan prayer wheel back where I found it in the wall will give me some good karma and I can actually find a box full of coins.😀

Wow ... how cool is that - congrats on the very unique find ! :icon_thumright:
The extra bonus is that it was in the box and well protected from any damage.

Have you checked the geocache websites?
I have come across geocache while metal detecting and there used to be a geocache near by. They always have some type of tupperware container that's sealed but not locked and will have a log book the searcher will sign. The geocache container are hidden but left in the open.
