Our first baby girl! Her name is Lily Emma-Jane and she is now 6 weeks old and growing fast. She's a little sweetheart but certainly the sleep police.
Not much time lately for detecting but I have managed to get out a couple of times. I obtained permission to hunt an empty section just down the road from my house where there used to be an old church dating back to 1890. It was relocated about 8 years ago.
An interested neighbour came across to me while I was hunting with some photos that he had taken the day they lifted the building up for removal. Very interesting to see and also very handy.

Finds so far from about 6 hours hunting,

5 Brittish pennys 1907-1922
4 NZ pennys 1946-1951
1931 Brittish halfpenny
1944 NZ halfpenny
2 NZ shillings 1934 & 1935
1921 Brittish sixpence
2 NZ sixpence 1952 & 1965
7 NZ threepence 1933-1953
1974 Brittish New Penny 1/2

Silver pin, not sure what the initials stand for. need to do some research.

2 pendants, 9ct gold heart & another possibly oldish?

my first toy car, any idea of age?

Thanks civilman1 for your kind reply. In answer to your question, 7 of the coins are 50% silver. Much of New Zealand's pre decimal coins were 50% silver from when they began in 1933-1947 when they changed to copper/nickel. The 1921 Brittish sixpence is also 50% silver but as I have just learned from researching it that this is the year that it was changed to 50%, previous to this it was stirling silver. I am yet to find a stirling coin but I'm getting closer.
