I hunted a new permission this morning but was disappointed. It was a house that was built in the early 1800s, but I think the old timers around here have beat me to the punch. Found some clad and a buffalo nickel that I can't date along with a few odds and ends to include what I think is a peace to a hair barrette. I thought I would do much better there, but that's the way it goes.

On the way back I stopped by another old house site that I have hunted many times and managed two buttons, an old knife and two cool looking nails. Still not bad for a morning hunt. Thanks for looking. IMG_20170506_132413475_HDR.jpgIMG_20170506_132428491_HDR.jpgIMG_20170506_132347093_HDR.jpg

A bad day of dirt fishing is better than a great day at work!

I like em too! congrats, beat the heck out of what I found today

Some days are like that. I wanted all winter to get to a 1878 permission and wound up with a little over a dollar in clad. But at least I know I am not walking by any treasure now. My fifth property on that street, each one had less.

I see 3 nickels among your finds. Sometimes I find at sites that have been cherry picked, the previous hunters often ignore nickels as well as gold. They may have thought they were passing over pull tabs.
You may end up pulling a target that consists of a nickel sitting on top of a silver.
Congrats on a good hunt.
