I'm just getting into detecting, and was headed to the beach for a vacation. I needed a sand scoop, all I could find on short notice was a hand scoop, I wanted a a scoop with a pole, who likes to bend over. So I modified the hand scoop I had. I took and bent the factory mounting bracket to desired angle, straightened the handle just a little , found a aluminum pole from paint pole, removed the grip off scoop, slid pole on drilled new holes for bracket and attachment bolt, also I drilled a camera mount. Put to together, slid on noodle, lubed up the end and shoved the grip on the aluminum pole, ready for the beach. The noodle floats the scoop just right, that sifting is very easy. Hope it helps someone. The handscoops are cheaper than the ones with a pole. Thanks Justintime
happy hunting
